MUSIC MATTERS is a dynamic and down-to-earth concert series that takes a new look at mostly old music. Soprano Rebecca Plack and pianist Blaise Bryski, both of whom hold doctorates from Cornell University, are consummate performers whose warm and engaging manner delights audiences. Their eclectic programs, which pair such seemingly disparate composers as Bellini and Berberian, are punctuated by lively commentary. Together, Plack and Bryski offer audiences an insider's view of how performers translate muscial scores into live music in repertoire from five centuries
